GameSniper Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

GameSniper (“we”) is a Discord bot that sends you game price alerts. Contact: gamesniper@mail.grokbot.com.

What we collect

• Your Discord user ID, so we know who to DM.
• Your watches: the text you typed (for example “Hades 2 under $15”) and the parsed game, price, platform and region.
• Alert history: which deals we sent you, and when, so we don't repeat them.
• Your opt-in status and tier (free or supporter).
• Optional: your email address, if you turn on the weekly digest.
• Optional: your Steam ID, if you use /steam-sync. We read your public wishlist only. We do not store your Steam login and we never ask for it.

We do not collect your messages in servers, your friends list, or payment card details. If supporter subscriptions are offered, Discord handles the payment and we only see whether you have an active subscription.

How we use it

Only to run GameSniper: matching prices to your watches, sending the DMs and emails you asked for, and enforcing watch limits. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Discord, to deliver DMs.
• Price-data sources (currently the public Steam store; a paid price-data provider may be added later): we send game IDs and price conditions only, never your Discord ID or email. For /steam-sync we request your public wishlist from Steam using the Steam ID you give us.
• Fly.io, our hosting provider, which stores the database in the United States.
• An email delivery provider, only if you use the weekly digest, and only to deliver it. We'll name it here before the digest launches.

If we ever turn on an AI service to help understand watch requests, it would receive only the text of the request, with no user ID, and we'll list it here first.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. Our host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for a short time for security and operations.

Your choices

• /optout or reply STOP: no more DMs.
• /digest off: stop emails and delete your email address. Every email also includes unsubscribe instructions.
• /unwatch all: remove your watches.
• /delete-my-data: delete everything we hold about you.
• You can also email us to make any of these requests, or to ask what data we hold about you.

Retention

We keep data while you use GameSniper. /delete-my-data removes it immediately from the live database, and backups roll off within 30 days.

Children

GameSniper is not for children under 13, or under the minimum age to use Discord in your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post a notice in the bot's /help.
